Virtual prototyping of superconducting devices

With modern high-temperature superconductor (HTS) materials, and the improved tolerance they exhibit not only toward temperature but field changes, comes renewed endeavour in developing systems that capitalize on their novel properties.

This improved tolerance opens up the use of superconducting materials in AC or transient magnetic systems such as transformers, generators and fault current limiters, in addition to DC systems (e.g. MRI/NMR and particle accelerator magnets) that are already well established.

This webinar will look at methods available to designers of such systems using the Opera Simulation Software Suite, including examples of validation with both analytic descriptions of superconducting materials and physical devices.

There will be a question and answer session at the end of the webinar.
