Mirada Medical Demonstrates Latest Advances in Deformable Image Registration Software at AAPM Spring Clinical Meeting
Medical physicists are meeting in Denver, Colorado, March 15-18 for the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Spring Clinical Meeting, hosted at the Denver Marriott Tech Center. The meeting will focus on helping medical physicists with the integration of emerging technologies into the clinical environment.
Denver, CO, March 13, 2014: In support, Mirada Medical will be demonstrating their comprehensive suite of advanced Deformable Image Registration (DIR) software tools to meeting attendees. The company utilizes its scientifically advanced DIR algorithms to provide practical tools to support treatment planning.
Mirada has been recognized for its leadership in advanced imaging software and accurate deformable registration technology, for more than a decade. Unlike other vendors, which use common registration algorithms, Mirada’s scientists have made their algorithms application and modality specific - carefully tuning internal parameters, such as deformable field smoothness, degree of freedom and similarity function sensitivity. This provides a strong basis for multi-modality contouring, auto contouring, dose deformation, composite dose and provides support for adaptive therapy and re-treatment decisions.
The latest version of all of Mirada’s powerful planning and assessment tools will be unveiled in the Mirada exhibit (#205) at the Spring AAPM meeting.
