MDC Manufacturing Overview
The MDC product line has evolved against a backdrop of careful research and development as well as the implementation of the latest in automated manufacturing techniques. Multiple axis Mazak® CNC machining centers are at the heart of all metal machining operations at the Hayward, California facility. These sophisticated, robotically controlled machines are designed for continuous operation producing finished components from raw stainless steel. Engineering and design are routinely implemented using 3D Modeling/Solid-Works and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) computer work stations networked with one central system which is accessible to all production facilities. The main manufacturing facilities, located in Hayward California, contains 107,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Insulator Seal is comprised of high and ultrahigh vacuum feedthroughs and optical viewports. Custom capabilities include the ability to produce component designs up to a Max Diameter of 11 inches (279mm) - Max Length of 4 feet (1.3m). Our Sarasota, Florida production facility has 26,000 square feet of manufacturing space and has multiple furnaces capable of brazing over 1000°C.
MDC’s Gas Delivery Products are produced at our San Jose, California facility which has 15,000 square feet of manufacturing area, with a 1,700 square foot Class 100 clean room for ultra high purity welding and assembly, an 1,800 square foot Class 10,000 area for assemblies and manual TIG welding, CNC and manual tube bending.
