Nanoscribe´s 3D printer for the nano- and micrometer scale, Photonic Professional GT, convinced the jury and has been nominated in the category ”Advanced Manufacturing” for Prism Award 2014.

As an enabler for true submicron resolution, Nanoscribe´s Photonic Professional GT transfers the benefits of 3D printing to the micrometer scale. Two-photon polymerization in combination with pivoted galvo mirrors is implemented into a commercially available lithography system for the first time and in unprecedented quality hence enabling upcoming industrial applications. Complex structures with feature sizes down to 160 nm can be realized on a writing area of up to 100 x 100 mm². In addition, Photonic Professional GT is the most accurate and fastest 3D laser lithography system embedded best along the 3D printing workflow.
The compact and user-friendly system allows highest design freedom with structure heights ranging from a few 100 nm up to the millimeter range. The pivoted galvo mirrors implemented in the Photonic Professional GT speed up the fabrication process hundredfold compared to its piezo-driven predecessor. The patterning process allows both, additive as well as subtractive manufacturing of polymers on a broad range of substrates and materials. Through post-processing steps, the fabricated polymer templates can be casted into metals or semiconductors. In combination with the included software package, the system is embedded best along the 3D printing workflow and offers a high degree of automation. To adapt the Photonic Professional GT system to your special needs, several options and accessories are available, e.g. immersion objectives for oil and dip-in laser lithography (DiLL) compatible photoresists, substrate holders for specific applications and cleanroom configuration of the vibration isolation table.
The Photonic Professional GT provides a platform for research and development in science and industry. It allows the fabrication of true 2D, 2.5D and 3D nano- and microstructures into photosensitive materials. The manufacturing of micro-sized parts has many applications in fields like optics, medicine, fluidics, electronics or mechanics.
