Zaber’s new X-MCB1 stepper motor controller is a single-axis controller that can drive any bipolar stepper motor or actuator up to 2.5 A/phase with high resolution. The controller’s microstepping resolution can be set at any value between 1 and 256 microsteps per step, allowing for easy customization and fine resolution movement.
The X-MCB1 can be used with any of Zaber’s actuators and stages that require an external controller. It is backwards-compatible with all of Zaber’s existing devices with built-in controllers. When daisy-chained with several units, the X-MCB1 can also share a single power supply with multiple X-Series products.
The X-MCB1’s event-driven trigger system allows the device to be programmed for standalone operation based on I/O, time, or movement stimuli. An intuitive ASCII protocol allows for easy-to-use communication with the device through Zaber’s free software, or third party terminal programs.
