External Event: Science, Technology & Innovation Exhibition – Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire, 14th May 2014 (& Culham Centre For Fusion Energy, Oxfordshire, 13th May 2014)

Following in the footsteps of the highly successful 2013 Science, Technology & Innovation Exhibition held at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL), preparations are now underway for the next event on Wednesday, 14th May 2014.

Please find information about the Science, Technology and Innovation Exhibition below. Please note that this is an external, independent event and not organised by STFC. We are sending this information through as the event is held at STFC’s Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and we feel it’s a good opportunity to meet with buyers there. Having attracted some 70 existing and potentially new suppliers to exhibit at the event in 2013, the Science, Technology & Innovation exhibition is aimed at enabling companies an opportunity to demonstrate their latest high-tech developments - whether they are innovative ideas or technology that has the capacity to be transferred from other sectors or other similar facilities - to the various scientists, technologists, engineers and other key personnel that are based on the RAL and Diamond Light Source site. The event can also be visited by staff from some of the neighbouring companies and organisations on the Harwell campus thus offering others an opportunity to benefit from the exhibition as well.

This annual independent event, organised by Nu-Tech Exhibitions Events, builds on the success of similar individual exhibitions at several other industrial sites in UK, including nuclear facilities such as Sellafield and Dounreay. Promoting innovation and technology transfer between science, nuclear, aerospace and defence markets, the exhibitions give companies an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to a defined and targeted audience normally involved in the assessment, provision or purchasing of technology components and equipment.

Located in a fully equipped marquee specially erected for the occasion, the event brings together science, engineering and high technology companies in a single venue which ensures the exhibition is always popular among the workforce to whom the event is aimed.

In addition, following the successful format of the 2013 exhibition at RAL, Nu-Tech Exhibitions Events will also be hosting a similar suppliers exhibition at the nearby UKAEA Culham Centre for Nuclear Fusion in Abingdon on the preceding day (13th May 2014) so that the two exhibitions will continue to be back-to-back within the same week. This makes is easier for those companies who wish to attend both venues to do so.

Cost to exhibit at each event is competitively priced and offers a perfect opportunity for suppliers to expand their customer base by promoting technology transfer or new & innovative ideas, as well as solidify existing customer loyalty.
