Ultrafast optical sampling oscilloscope

Want improved resolution, speed, accuracy and precision? Read on to find out about the key benefits of ASOPS

In this ever advancing technology-led world, the dimensions of functional objects are decreasing and it is critical that scientists understand at both a micro and nanoscopic level the dynamics of the physical processes. The traditional method to understanding these processes is ultrafast optical time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) and various techniques within this method. Asynchronous optical sampling (ASOPS) is a technique used, where two femtosecond lasers with high repetition rates (taccor, 1GHz range from Laser Quantum) are used to produce more accurate results within a shorter time period then the traditional techniques which use a single pulse laser. The key benefits of the ASOPS approach is improved resolution, speed, accuracy and precision.

The 1GHz repetition rates from the taccor system, alongside the TL-1000-ASOPS repetition rate offset stabilisation unit, are ideal for the ASOPS technique. The taccor system is a turn-key femtosecond laser with a wavelength between 740nm-930nm and an output power up to 1.8W.
